Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field with 4 years of acute care experience.
• Master's Degree may substitute for up to one year of the required experience.
• Infection Prevention and Control experience preferred.
• Current licensure in clinical field, if clinical degree required and Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIPC) within three years of employment required

Responsibilities

• Conducts surveillance, analyzes infection-related data and trends to identify opportunities for intervention.
• Maintains ongoing surveillance for healthcare-associated infections and other infection prevention risks.
• Implements evidence-based infection prevention and control strategies to reduce risk of infections.
• Leads investigations and management of infection-related events and outbreaks.
• Participates in quality improvement, patient safety, accreditation, and regulatory readiness initiatives.
