Qualifications

• Two years of nursing experience in an acute care hospital.
• Valid RN license.
• Board of infection control certification preferred.
• Analytical and data interpretation skills are essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to educate staff.

Responsibilities

• Collects and compiles infection and best practice data and reports.
• Enters data into TheraDoc and national healthcare safety network.
• Reviews infection data and notifies relevant staff.
• Manages isolation, care and reporting of TB patients with clinical staff.
• Serves as ICP consultant for construction projects.
• Reviews microbiology reports and discusses unfamiliar organisms.
