Job summary

Belhaven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Infection Prevention Nurse LPN/RN to join our team in Chicago, IL. You will lead surveillance of infection control practices and develop policies to ensure compliance with regulations.

You will provide staff education, maintain records, and collaborate with healthcare teams to minimize infection risks while supporting quality patient care.

Qualifications

Current Illinois LPN or RN license.
Experience in infection prevention and control.
Knowledge of basic infection prevention principles and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
Familiarity with EMR and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Conduct surveillance of infection control practices across the facility.
Develop and implement infection prevention policies and protocols.
Investigate transmission risks and recommend corrective actions.
