Spyglass Healthcare is seeking an Infection Prevention Nurse-IP to lead and monitor the infection prevention program within our facility in California. You will oversee surveillance, reporting, and education to prevent hospital-acquired infections, in alignment with CDC/OSHA/APIC guidelines.
The role requires active California RN or LVN license, strong decision-making, and solid communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office/Excel and PCC is preferred, and APIC certification is a plus.
The Infection Control directs managerial functions of planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the Infection Control Program. The IP has the authority to take necessary steps to prevent and control the acquisition and transmission of infectious agents in the patient, staff, and visitor populations. The Infection Prevention (IP) is responsible for the surveillance, analysis, and reporting of hospital-acquired infections; educating employees about infection control; and developing organizational infection control standards that meet state and federal regulatory and accrediting bodies, CDC, OSHA, and APIC guidelines
