Job summary
Mesa Springs Behavioral Health Hospital seeks an Infection Control/Nurse Educator RN to join our team. This full-time role blends bedside nursing with infection prevention leadership, education development and data surveillance to protect patients, staff, and visitors.
As part of Lifepoint Health, you will monitor regulations, coordinate education initiatives, and implement evidence-based practices across the facility. ADN is required and BSN is preferred; active RN license in Texas.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
- Previous experience as an infection control practitioner preferred.
- Current unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate infection prevention and control strategies, policies and planning.
- Analyze healthcare-associated infection data and disseminate findings.
- Develop departmental goals aligned with clinical, administrative and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor regulations and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
- Integrate evidence-based practices and develop educational resources.
- Monitor research to identify best practices.
