Job summary

Lemont-Nursing-and-Rehab is seeking an Infection Prevention Coordinator at its Extended Care affiliated facility to lead infection prevention goals, protocols, and safety programs for residents and staff. You will collaborate with physicians, facility leaders, and public agencies to reduce infection risk and improve outcomes.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, supervision, and timely responses to outbreaks with education for staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate annual infection prevention goals and action plans.

• Oversee the infection prevention, epidemiology, industrial hygiene, and safety programs.
• Participate in national collaboratives and external reporting to CDC NHSN and other quality organizations.
• Ensure intervention and education for staff, volunteers, and medical personnel when infection control breaches, outbreaks, or non-compliance issues arise.

Infection Prevention Coordinator Requirements:
