Job summary

Legacy Healthcare Financial Services LLC is seeking an Infection Prevention Nurse for our skilled nursing facility. You will lead education for staff and help develop, implement, and enforce infection control policies to protect residents.

Requires a bachelor's degree in Science, Nursing or related field, an Illinois RN license, and CPR certification. Five years of RN experience with one year in infection control is preferred, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Educate staff on infection prevention and control.

• Collect and analyze infection control data; serve as an infection control resource for staff, residents and families.

As an Infection Prevention Nurse, you are at the heart of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect by providing education to staff and assisting with the development, implementation and enforcement of infection control policies and procedures, identifying, controlling, and preventing outbreaks of infection in the facility, collecting and analyzing infection control data and acting as an infection control resource for employees, residents, and their family members. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a bachelor's degree in Science, Nursing or related field, an unencumbered State of Illinois Registered Nurse (R.N.) license and C.P.R. Certification. Five (5) years of experience as a R.N. and one (1) year of experience in an infection control position is preferable.
