Job summary

Wellstar Health Systems seeks an experienced Manager of Infection Prevention to lead the organization’s infection prevention program and operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Nursing or related field required.
• CIC - Certification in Infection Control required on hire.
• Minimum 2 years of healthcare leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Infection Prevention experience in acute care or equivalent.
• Strong leadership, communication, time management, and regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Infection Prevention Department.
• Oversee payroll, HR, performance reviews and staffing.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, NHSN and state regs.
• Lead survey readiness for CMS conditions of participation and accreditation standards.
• Develop and implement Infection Prevention and Surveillance Plans.
• Prepare reports for governance committees and system leadership.
• Mentor staff on Healthcare-Associated Infection definitions and surveillance.
• Collaborate on system-wide infection prevention and emergency preparedness plans.
