Job summary

Napa Post Acute is seeking an experienced Infection Preventionist (LVN) to lead our infection prevention and control program in Napa, CA. You will oversee surveillance, staff education, and regulatory compliance to protect residents and staff.

The ideal candidate holds an active California LVN license, with 2+ years of nursing experience and a focus on infection prevention. CPR certification is required, IP training preferred and PCC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active California LVN license required.
• 2+ years of nursing experience; infection prevention preferred.
• Knowledge of CDC, CDPH, CMS, and OSHA regulations.
• CPR certification required; IP training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention and control program.
• Conduct surveillance, case tracking, and monthly reporting.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standard precautions.
• Lead outbreak investigations and coordinate response.
• Perform infection control rounds, audits, and risk assessments.
• Provide staff orientation and ongoing infection control education.
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to improve safety.
