Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health related field and 5 years of relevant experience required.
• Master's degree and 3 years infection prevention experience preferred.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Promotes advanced education and certification, mentors' others, and demonstrates the value of the credential through advanced knowledge and skills.
• Accomplished, recognized leader and patient safety champion in the organization with collaborative influence beyond the employer.
• May have leadership responsibilities and may include being the assistant to the Infection Prevention leadership and/or serve as a regional or national consultant in Infection Prevention.
• Performs rounding to ensure compliance and conducts surveillance for hospital acquired infections.
• Rotates call independently and supports other team members on call.
• Conducts and leads outbreak investigations and epidemiologic investigations; designs prevention strategies and analyzes trends.
