Job summary

Marin Community Clinics in Novato, CA, seeks a Director of Infection Prevention & Control to lead a comprehensive infection prevention program across all locations. You will ensure CDC/OSHA/CMS/HRSA compliance, oversee surveillance, reporting, and corrective actions, and collaborate with clinical leadership to embed infection prevention in daily operations.

The role requires a public health background, CIC certification (or path to certification), and 3–5 years of leadership in infection

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of infection prevention principles and public health practices.
• Knowledge of CDC, OSHA, CMS, and HRSA regulations.
• Experience with infection surveillance and data analysis.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and implement system-wide programs.
• Strong communication and training skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clinic sites and prioritize risk mitigation activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Infection Prevention and Control Program across all health center locations.
• Establish infection prevention policies and procedures aligned with CDC and public health guidelines.
• Provide leadership and strategic oversight for infection prevention initiatives.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to integrate infection control practices into daily operations.
• Conduct surveillance for HAIs and communicable diseases; monitor trends and analyze data.
• Prepare and present infection control reports to executives and committees; lead corrective action when risks are identified.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with CDC, OSHA, CMS, HRSA, and state/local requirements.
