Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL seeks an experienced Infection Preventionist to lead the IPC program, align initiatives with safety goals, and ensure data-driven outcomes. You will perform surveillance, audits, and education to improve staff competency and compliance.

The role requires 2+ years in clinical infection control or public health, with CIC preferred and strong collaboration skills across teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in clinical setting, infection control or public health.
• Infection Control Certification (CIC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) program and drive quality and safety goals.
• Conduct disease surveillance using epidemiologic methods to detect trends, clusters and outbreaks.
• Perform facility rounding, IPC assessments, identify gaps in cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization with actionable feedback.
• Develop and deliver IPC education programs tailored to audience needs.
• Collaborate with antimicrobial stewardship and quality improvement initiatives; support data-driven decision making.
