Job summary

Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital is seeking an Infection Preventionist to lead and coordinate activities that support the Infection Prevention program at the Riverton care site. You will participate in survey readiness, CMS reporting, and advise leadership on infection prevention strategies.

You will implement enterprise initiatives locally, establish isolation procedures, oversee environmental controls, and collaborate with the team to prevent transmission of infectious disease while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing and licensure; education from an accredited institution; degree will be verified.
• Demonstrated working experience in relevant clinical field.

Responsibilities

• Identify stakeholders to support Infection Prevention workflows.
• Assist in ensuring regulatory compliance (CMS, Joint Commission, state/local).
• Advocate and support standardization of policies by evaluating compliance.
• Apply infectious disease guidelines to plan and meet standards.
• Educate enterprise leaders and participate in program design/implementation.
• Investigate suspected outbreaks and institute corrective actions with the team.
• Support multidisciplinary teams with Infection Prevention guidance.
• Co-chair the Infection Prevention Committee and represent on committees.
• Facilitate the Infection Prevention program at the care site or surveillance team.
