Job summary

Atlantic Health in Morristown, NJ is seeking a dedicated Infection Prevention professional to lead development and coordination of IP policies and activities.

The role collaborates with care teams, analyzes data, and educates staff, patients and visitors on prevention measures, isolation procedures, and evidence-based practices.

On-site hospital role with active involvement in IP initiatives and committee work to improve patient safety and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Implements Infection Prevention measures under IP manager.
• Surveys, collects, analyzes and manages data.
• Analyzes problem areas and determines solutions.
• Coordinates with bed management for patient placement and isolation precautions.
• Reports to the CDC, State and Local health department.
• Active member of the Infection Prevention Committee and other hospital-based committees.
• Provides education as it relates to infection prevention for all levels of employees/medical staff, patients/families, and visitors.
• Collaborates with health care team to promote evidenced based care for the patient population served and families.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
