Job summary

ChristianaCare seeks an experienced Infection Prevention Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership for its system-wide Infection Prevention and Control Program in Newark, Delaware.

You will lead the team, guide surveillance and strategy, and partner with physicians and leaders to reduce healthcare-associated infections and strengthen patient safety across the continuum of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, biology, or related field required; master's degree preferred.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required.
• Five years of infection prevention and control experience required.
• Three+ years of leadership/management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NHSN reporting, CMS/regulatory requirements, infection surveillance and data analysis.
• Ability to lead, collaborate, and influence physicians and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of infection prevention professionals.
• Direct infection surveillance, risk identification, prevention, and mitigation activities across the health system.
• Lead improvement initiatives to reduce infections and advance patient safety.
• Analyze infection trends to identify risks and evaluate interventions.
• Serve as SME on infection prevention standards, NHSN reporting, regulatory readiness.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams on outbreak response and priority projects.
• Develop evidence-based policies and education to support compliance and goals.
