Piedmont Medical Network - Fort Mill Hospital is seeking an Infection Preventionist to direct and coordinate the infection control program within the hospital. The designated individual will implement Surveillance, Prevention and Control Program policies, coordinate infection prevention and control, and monitor the effectiveness of prevention efforts.

Qualifications

• Experienced healthcare professional with a health sciences background.
• Knowledge and experience in patient care practices, microbiology, aseptic technique, disinfection/sterilization, adult education, infectious diseases, communication, and epidemiology.

Responsibilities

• Infection prevention and control practice across the hospital setting.
• Surveillance of infections and reporting to authorities; maintain compliance with standards.
• Apply epidemiologic methods to identify risks and design prevention strategies.
• Educate healthcare staff, patients, families, and the public on infection prevention.
• Provide expert guidance in infection prevention, control, and epidemiology.
• Collaborate with occupational health on disease transmission risk.
• Evaluate program effectiveness; report data to Infection Control and Medical Executive committees.
• Perform related duties as required.
