Job summary

Piedmont Medical Network - Rock Hill Hospital is seeking an Infection Control Manager to direct and coordinate the infection control program within the hospital. The role entails implementing Surveillance, Prevention and Control Program policies and coordinating infection prevention efforts across the facility.

You will lead the IP program, monitor effectiveness, and educate staff, patients and families while ensuring compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, lab or other healthcare related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in IP or related roles such as health care management or quality/patient safety.
• CIC certification required within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Has the ability to hire, fire and discipline.
• May be responsible for surveillance activities.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of the program.

Job Summary

The Infection Control Manager directs and coordinates the infection control program in the hospital. The designated person will be given the authority to implement and enforce the Surveillance, Prevention and Control Program policies, coordinate all infection prevention and control within the hospital and facilitate ongoing monitoring of the effectiveness of prevention and/or control activities and interventions.

• Experience: 4 years experience in Infection Prevention with previous experience in health care
• Licensure/Certification: CIC required within 2 year of job
