Job summary

University of Michigan's Michigan Medicine invites applications for an Infection Prevention Analyst. The role focuses on collecting and analyzing surveillance data, maintaining dashboards, and supporting investigations of exposures and outbreaks.

You will collaborate with Infection Preventionists, work both independently and as part of a team, and use data tools such as Tableau, SAS, and EPIC. Hybrid work options available, with strong emphasis on patient safety and public health impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
• Ability to reliably attend virtual and in-person meetings.
• Ability to prioritize work assignments and time management.
• Work independently as well as a member of a team.
• Experience in data analysis and/or statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• 50% Collect, assess, review and analyze surveillance data using various surveillance systems.
• 20% Maintain records and update databases and dashboards.
• 10% Work with Infection Preventionists to conduct activities related to exposures of patients and employees of communicable diseases.
• 5% Identify, notify and provide data analysis using data tools and statistics to support Infection Preventionists investigating clusters or outbreaks.
• 5% Other duties as assigned, including outbreak investigations and special projects.
