Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in Nursing/Medical Technology or related field.
• Maryland RN license or Medical Technologist certification required unless infection prevention certification held.
• APIC Infection Control Practitioner certification required or to be obtained within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Review culture and sensitivity reports to identify nosocomial infections in patient care areas.
• Surveil current in-patient and discharged patients for nosocomial infections.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual infection reports; present data to committees.
