Job summary

Zebulon Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Infection Control/Staff Development RN to join a compassionate, family-oriented team in Zebulon, NC. The role focuses on overseeing the center's Infection Prevention program and coordinating staff development initiatives.

Qualified candidates hold an ASN or higher, active NC RN licensure, and at least two years of nursing experience, with LTC/SNF or clinical education experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Clear and active RN licensure in NC.
• Two or more years of nursing experience required.
• Long-Term Care or SNF nursing experience or clinical education and staff development experience preferred.
• CDC - IPCO certification required or must be completed within 5 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and clinical orientation to new staff members.
• Lead live annual training sessions monthly for staff interaction.
• Track training attendance, competencies, and state/federal requirements in Relias.
• Conduct hands-on skills fairs.
• Perform and track competency evaluations.
• Lead our Mentor Program.

Responsibilities Of a Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Control RN

• Provide general and clinical orientation to new staff members.
• Provide live annual training sessions monthly so you have time and opportunity to interact with the staff.
• Track training attendance, competencies, and state and federal requirements for all staff in Relias.
• Conduct hands on skills fairs.
• Perform and track competency evaluations.
• Lead our Mentor Program.
• Evaluate and educate individual needs of the staff at the center.
• Responsible for the administration of the center's Infection Prevention and Infection Control Program. You will identify, investigate, and report infections and communicable diseases and educate staff on the control and prevention of those infections.

Qualifications Of a Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Control RN

• Associate degree or above in Nursing (ASN) required.
• Clear and active Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure in the state of NC.
• Two (2+) years' nursing experience required.
• Long-Term Care or SNF Nursing experience OR Clinical Education and Staff Development experience strongly preferred.
• CDC - IPCO Certification required or must be willing to complete within 5 days of employment.
