Job summary
Dover Behavioral Health System, a 104-bed acute care psychiatric hospital in Dover, Delaware, is seeking a Nurse Educator/Staff Educator for full-time day shifts. The role focuses on onboarding, ongoing staff development, and hospital-wide training initiatives to maintain high standards of care.
Responsibilities include managing onboarding, delivering CEUs, coordinating training with HR and leadership, and overseeing HealthStream for competency events and annual trainings.
Qualifications
- Current license to practice nursing in DE (or eligibility to receive or renew).
- Three or more years of related staff development/health care training experience.
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement onboarding and orientation programs for new hires to ensure competencies and high-quality care.
- Monitor new hires' progress, participate in evaluations, and provide ongoing education to help them excel.
- Design and facilitate training programs, CEUs, and in-services to address staff development and hospital needs, partnering with HR and the Management Team.
- Manage the HealthStream system to provide education to the hospital, including the Annual Competency Fair and hospital-wide trainings.
