Job summary

Western Horizons Living Centers, part of West River Health Services, seeks an experienced RN for a hybrid Infection Control and Staff Education role at our 40-bed skilled nursing facility in Hettinger, ND.

The position offers flexible scheduling from part-time to full-time. You will lead the Infection Prevention and Control Program, oversee staff training, and support antibiotic stewardship while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in North Dakota (or license-eligible).
• 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably long-term or post-acute care.
• Infection control or staff education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program, including surveillance, policy development, and outbreak response.
• Monitor infection control practices facility-wide (hand hygiene, PPE, isolation precautions, environmental cleaning).
• Coordinate clinical education, onboarding, and competency validation for nursing staff and CNAs.
• Develop annual education plans and required regulatory training.
• Support antibiotic stewardship and employee health compliance.
