Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Environmental Services professional to maintain clean and safe patient rooms and hospital areas. The role requires following infection prevention standards and handling cleaning chemicals properly.

Responsibilities include restocking supplies, maintaining EVS equipment, and preparing rooms for incoming patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and prior cleaning experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; cleaning experience preferred.
• Experience with infection prevention and safety procedures.
• Ability to wear PPE and follow safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, common areas, equipment and other assigned spaces.
• Follow isolation procedures and Infect Prevention Standards.
• Maintain EVS closet and EVS cart, replenish supplies and restock paper, soap, and hand sanitizer.
• Use Xenex UV Light robot for specified rooms where available.
• Prepare rooms for incoming patients and report safety hazards or equipment issues.
