Responsibilities

• Assist in developing care plans for patients with infectious diseases.
• Serve as a consultant to nurses, physicians, and other staff on infection control and reporting.
• May be asked to work floors for coverage and adapt to clinic needs.

We are currently seeking a full-time Infection Control Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Jefferson City Correctional Center located in Jefferson City, Missouri.The Infection Control Nurse (LPN) is responsible for performing a variety of duties involving the prevention and control of infectious diseases. The Infection Control Nurse will coordinate the collecting, interpreting, and reporting of data, assist in the development of care plans for patients with infectious diseases, and will serve as a consultant to nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding care, tracking, and reporting of patients identified with infectious disease.Full-Time Day shift, Monday-Friday 7am-4:30 pmCandidate may be asked to work the floor for coverage. Employee will learn all positions within the clinic.Must hold valid LPN with IV certification in the state of MissouriCIC (Certification in Infection Control) preferred1 to 3 years’ experience providing nursing care in a public health environment, long term care or acute care setting with focus on infection prevention and controlCurrent CPR and Basic Life Support certification requiredExperience in correctional environment preferredExperience working with a high degree of autonomy requiredMust be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicableINDMHM
