Job summary

Centurion Health seeks a Full-time Day Infection Control Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Maryland Correctional Institution Hagerstown in Hagerstown, MD. You will implement and update infection prevention policies and work with staff to reduce infection risk.

Requirements include an active Maryland LPN license, at least two years in public health or acute care focusing on infection control, CPR/BLS certification, and preferred CIC certification. Corrections experience is a plus.

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a Full-time Day Infection Control Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Maryland Correctional Institution Hagerstown located in Hagerstown, Maryland.

The Infection Control LPN develops, and updates policies and procedures related to infection control with current standards of practice. This person ensures compliance and works closely with staff in prevention and control of infection.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license to practice in Maryland
• Minimum of two years of experience working in a public health or acute care setting with a focus on Infection Control
• CIC – Certification in Infection Control preferred
• Experience working in corrections preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
