Job summary

Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center is seeking an Infection Control Manager to lead comprehensive prevention programs. You will oversee surveillance, investigations, and reporting of HAIs, and develop evidence-based policies while educating staff and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires expertise in epidemiology and infectious diseases, strong leadership and analytical skills, and a track record in driving improvements toward CIC certification.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of clinical experience in Nursing, Microbiology, Biology, or Public Health.
• Two (2) years of experience as an Infection Preventionist in an acute care facility.
• Bachelor's degree in Science (Microbiology, Biology, Nursing, Public Health).
• Active license in state of practice (RN or CLS) with CBIC certification to be obtained during the first two years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee surveillance, investigation and reporting of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
• Develop and implement evidence-based infection control policies.
• Educate staff on infection prevention practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
• Monitor infection trends and conduct risk assessments.
• Lead outbreak investigations and promote a culture of safety.
