Job summary

UMC Health System in the United States is seeking a Floor Care Technician to support Infection Control and Prevention through cleaning and sanitation across the hospital and campus sites. Reports to the Supervisor, Environmental Services.

You will refine floors and carpets, maintain clean utility rooms, stairwells, freight elevators, and common areas; collect and dispose of soiled linen and assist with linen distribution; and perform minor maintenance tasks as needed to ensure a safe, sanitary

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of flooring and cleaning methods for floors and carpeting.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Attention to detail in cleaning protocols and safety.

Responsibilities

• Refine and maintain floors and carpets across hospital campuses.
• Ensure clean utility rooms, stairwells, freight elevators, and common areas.
• Collect and dispose of soiled linen and assist with linen distribution.
• Perform minor general maintenance tasks (e.g., hanging curtains, moving furniture).
• Carry out other Environmental Services duties as assigned.
