Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine seeks an Infection Control Epidemiologist II to support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Infection Prevention Program at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and affiliated areas.

The ICE II advances evidence-based infection prevention practices, monitors infection trends, and partners with clinical and operational teams to drive initiatives that improve patient safety and quality of care, including reducing HAIs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related professional experience.
• Experience in Infection Control, Nursing, Microbiology, Epidemiology, Health Education, or Public Health.
• CIC certification required within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Infection Prevention Program.
• Monitor infection trends and assist with compliance with infection prevention standards.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, and academic teams to drive quality and patient safety initiatives.
• Interpret infection surveillance data to inform improvement efforts.
