Job summary

You will monitor infections and environmental conditions, enforce isolation precautions and aseptic techniques, and participate in policy updates with Nursing Services.

The role includes acting as a resource for staff education, reporting statistics to the NHSN and coordinating visits from Infection Disease

Qualifications

• Surveillance of infection incidence and environmental infection risk.
• Implementation of isolation policy, aseptic technique and staff health program.
• Education and training for facility staff on infection control importance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct the infection control program per federal, state, and local standards.
• Monitor infections in residents and environmental conditions to prevent outbreaks.
• Maintain infection control policies and participate in annual revisions with Nursing Services.
