Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking Infantry Soldiers to perform reconnaissance, weapons operation, and team-based combat tasks. You will train for 14 weeks (Basic and AIT) and serve as part of a fire team in both training and real missions.

Qualifications

• Enlistment in the Army National Guard is required.
• Must be 17–35 years old.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details).

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations.
• Operate weapon systems under various conditions including night vision sights.
• Maintain and operate communications equipment.
• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and missions.
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents.
• Aid in mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry.
• Use, maintain, and store combat weapons.
