Job summary

West Central Community Action seeks an Infant & Toddler Teacher for our Red Oak, IA Early Head Start classroom, focusing on children 0–3 years old. You will provide a safe, nurturing environment and implement daily activities with the children.

Minimum AA/AS in Early Childhood Education is required; BA/BS preferred. A valid driver's license and auto liability insurance are required. Background fingerprint check applies; starting wage is $17.06 per hour.

Qualifications

• AA/AS in Early Childhood Education required for position.
• BA/BS preferred, in Early Childhood, with infant/toddler emphasis.
• Current and valid driver's license and current and valid auto liability insurance required.
• Child Development Accreditation along with HS Diploma or some college courses may be considered in lieu of completion of Associate's or Bachelor's degree(s).

Responsibilities

• Providing a safe and nurturing environment for each child.
• Planning, management, operation and evaluation of the program in their room.
• Lifting, diapering, feeding, washing, and sitting on the floor with all Early Head Start ages.
