Job summary

Northern Virginia Family Services seeks a Primary Teacher for its Early Head Start team in Ashburn, VA. You will craft a safe, developmentally appropriate classroom for infants and toddlers and partner with families to support early learning.

Ideal candidates have a CDA in Infant Toddler Development or an Associate's degree in ECE, strong English skills, and comfort with data entry and documentation. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits and the chance to impact families across

Qualifications

Current CDA in Infant Toddler Development.
Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
Oral and written fluency in English; bilingual language skills a plus.
Digital and technical proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Create a Safe & Nurturing Classroom: ensure safety and well-being of children, build warm relationships with infants and toddlers, support social-emotional growth and school readiness, create engaging activities.
Support Individual Development: observe and assess each child's learning style and progress, adjust activities to meet needs, maintain documentation and data for compliance.
Partner with Families & Team Members: develop trusting relationships with families, collaborate with classroom team and supervisor, participate in reflective supervision and professional development, maintain a positive classroom culture.
