Job summary

Lead The Way Therapy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide play-based, family-centered EI services for infants and toddlers as a 1099 independent contractor. You will conduct evaluations, develop plans, and coach families in natural environments across the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

The position offers flexible scheduling, caseload near home, and mentorship with a therapist-owned practice that supports growth and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (required).
• Illinois OT licensure (or eligible) and credentialing with Illinois EI.
• Experience in Early Intervention or pediatrics preferred.
• Willingness to travel to the northwest suburbs.
• Strong family-centered, play-based approach with caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for birth to three children.
• Develop individualized, family-centered treatment plans.
• Provide play-based therapy in homes, daycares, and community settings.
• Coach caregivers using evidence-based strategies.
• Address sensory processing, fine and gross motor, self-care, feeding, and development.
• Complete timely documentation meeting EI requirements.
• Collaborate with developmental therapists, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, service coordinators, physicians, and families.
• Travel to the northwest suburbs as needed.
• Maintain reliability and flexibility in schedule.
