Alphabets Montessori School in Maryland seeks a passionate Lead Montessori Guide/Teacher for an Infant/Toddler classroom (18m - 24m). Create a prepared environment supporting social, emotional, and academic development while meeting Maryland licensing standards. The role requires AMS/AMI certification for infant/toddler, 45 hrs.

Child Growth and Development, 45 hrs. infant/toddler certificate, and minimum one year of relevant experience; a degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• AMS/AMI certification for infant/toddler required.
• Minimum one year experience with infants/toddlers in Montessori or licensed childcare.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement an authentic Montessori curriculum for children (18m - 24m).
• Prepare and maintain a structured, engaging Montessori classroom environment.
• Observe, document, assess each child's development progress.
• Guide children's behavior using positive guidance and Montessori principles.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom support staff.
• Maintain consistent communication with families regarding student progress.
• Ensure health, safety, and supervision standards are met at all times.
• Complete progress reports, excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development or related field (preferred).
