Responsibilities

  • Develop weekly lesson plans aligning activities with The Creative Curriculum.
  • Ensure safety and well-being by responding to children’s needs.
  • Assist children with daily activities such as eating and diapering.
  • Engage children in activities fostering learning and development.
  • Clean classroom equipment per regulations.
  • Use developmentally appropriate language and respond positively.
  • Create positive relationships with children, families and coworkers.
  • Monitor and document development of each child.
  • Learn, understand, and follow relevant standards and regulations.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding development and goals.
  • Other duties as assigned; adhere to CDC policies.

Summary:

ResponsibilitiesandDuties:
  • Develop weekly lesson plans that outline activities which foster individual social, physical, and intellectual growth and development. These should align with The Creative Curriculum.
  • Ensurethesafetyandwell-beingofeachchildby respondingtotheiremotional,social,educationaland physical needs.
  • Assist children with activities ofdaily life, including eating, diapering/restroomuse, handwashing,etc.
  • Activelyengagechildreninactivitiesthatencouragelearningandpromotedevelopment.
  • Cleanclassroomequipment,includingtables,chairs,diaperingareaandothernecessaryareasaccording to required regulations.
  • Usedevelopmentallyappropriatelanguageand respondtochildreninapositivetone.
  • Createpositiverelationships withchildren,families andco-workers.
  • Continually monitoranddocument thedevelopmentofeachindividualchild.
  • Learn,understand,andfollowtherelevantstandardsandregulations.
  • Maintainregularcommunicationwithparentsregardingtheirchild’sdevelopment,behavior,and educational goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
