Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) is seeking dedicated Infant/Toddler Teachers to support safety, health, and development of children in licensed Head Start settings across Oregon. Positions include multiple levels (E, C, A, B) with CDA requirements and state credentials.

Responsibilities include culturally responsive curricula, home visits, parent conferences, and collaboration with families and staff. Competitive pay for metro areas and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or Diploma de Educacion Secundaria or higher.
• Infant Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate within 6 months from date of hire.
• 1 year Oregon community college certificate in field WITH training in early childhood development.
• 1 Oregon Registry Step 8 or higher per certificate or college courses pathway.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety, health, and development of infants and toddlers.
• Plan and implement culturally responsive curriculum aligned with standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom and supervise children.
• Conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences to discuss progress.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and specialists to support development.
• Provide guidance to classroom staff and volunteers; maintain records.

Education

Infant/Toddler CDA certificate

Oregon community college certificate

Associate's degree in Early childhood education or child development
