Job summary

E Center in Chico, CA, seeks an IT Teacher Assistant II Floater to support a diverse group of infants and toddlers in a part-day Head Start center. You will assist teachers with curriculum implementation, classroom activities, and parent engagement, while adhering to program standards and confidentiality.

The role requires at least 12 core ECE units (including infant/toddler units) and bilingual communication skills. This is a part-time/floater position within a dynamic teaching team.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand safety rules and procedural manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching staff in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Assist with classroom observations and updating portfolios.
• Help translate for staff and parents as needed.
• Encourage parent involvement and engagement in classroom activities.
• Ensure health and safety standards in classroom and play areas.
• Support documentation and collection of educational materials.
