Job summary

Kidango is seeking an Associate Teacher for Infant/Toddler as a floater in East Palo Alto. You will assist in daily programming, prep learning environments, and support health and safety while communicating with families.

Preferred candidates hold an unexpired Associate Teacher Permit, have 1 year of relevant experience, possess Infant/Toddler units (3 or 6), and meet SB 792 immunization, CPR/First Aid, and health-safety training requirements.

Qualifications

• Unexpired Associate Teacher Permit from the Department of Education required.
• 1 year prior experience working with young children preferred.
• 3 or 6 Infant/Toddler units required for Infant/Toddler Associate Teacher.
• Immunization records compliant with Senate Bill 792 (measles, pertussis, influenza).
• CPR/First Aid Training Certification required.
• 16 hours of health and safety training including 1 hour of nutrition training required.
• Must be a mandated abuse reporter.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning, preparing and implementing daily program.
• Assists in planning and preparing the learning environment and needed materials and supplies.
• Performs primary care giving responsibilities.
• Maintains the environment in a clean, safe manner.
• Regular parent communication, including parent conferences and chats.
