Middle Peninsula Northern Neck Behavioral Health (MPNN BH) is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide Part C Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers in the Rural Infant Services Program. Contractors deliver high-quality, family-centered care in natural environments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families and the transdisciplinary team, timely assessments, 30-day timelines, and accurate documentation in the EHR.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN) required.
• Active Virginia Registered Nurse license required.
• Eligibility for/or completion of DBHDS Early Intervention Certification.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Current TB test (within 30 days) and Infant/Child CPR & First Aid certification.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and sign a 1099 Independent Contractor Agreement and W-9.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health and developmental screenings and nursing assessments using EI tools.
• Provide EI nursing services, caregiver education, and health-related coaching in natural environments.
• Address health needs related to feeding, growth, medication administration support (education only), chronic conditions, and developmental risk factors.
• Participate in development and review of the IFSP.
• Initiate services within the 30-day Part C timeline and communicate with families.
• Complete documentation and billing in the EHR within EI timelines.
• Collaborate with Service Coordinators, families, and other providers for coordinated care.
• Maintain an active caseload of approximately 25-30 children.
• Attend virtual or in-person team meetings as needed.
