Job summary

Piedmont Community Services in Martinsville, VA seeks a dedicated professional to assist in implementing an early intervention program for infants and toddlers birth to age 3 with developmental delays or diagnosed conditions. You will provide assessment, linkage, and advocacy services to families enrolled in Part C Early Intervention.

Position involves home visits, requires a valid driver’s license, and strong communication with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, special education, a human services related field or any discipline or profession listed under Part C Personnel Standards; or a Registered Nurse with a valid license to practice in Virginia.
Prefer at least one year experience working with children under the age of three with intellectual disabilities or developmental delays, case management, & writing/implementing multidisciplinary service plans.
Requires excellent communication skills and experience working pleasantly and cooperatively with a wide variety of people.

Responsibilities

Assist in the implementation of an early intervention program for infants and toddlers birth to age 3 who have developmental delay, atypical development, and/or a diagnosed condition.
Provide assessment, linkage, & advocacy services to those enrolled in Part C Early Intervention Services in Martinsville and Henry, Franklin & Patrick counties.
Position entails home visits and a valid driver's license is required.
