Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health is seeking an Early Intervention Occupational Therapist to work with infants and toddlers in Paterson, NJ. You will develop and implement IFSPs, provide direct therapy in natural settings, and educate families to promote engagement and function.

The role requires a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, active NJ OT license, and experience with birth to five. Per Diem/Full-time flexibility may apply, adhering to BLS and modalities certifications within set timeframes.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s Degree, an active NJ OT license, and one year of documented professional experience with individuals birth to five with developmental delays and disabilities.
• Graduate of Accredited Occupational Therapy Program and current NJ State License in Occupational Therapy.
• BLS certification within first 3 months of hire and Modalities Certification within first 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate motor, cognitive, and sensory skills and develop an IFSP for infants and toddlers; provide direct therapy in natural settings; educate families on engagement strategies.
• Maintain strong communication to collaborate with families and the EI team.
• Maintain accurate records including evaluations, assessment data, progress notes, and required documentation.
