Job summary

TEAM INC in Ansonia, CT is hiring an Assistant Teacher to join a collaborative, supportive team dedicated to helping every child thrive. You will work with education coordinators, family service workers, and health staff to deliver nurturing, curriculum-based care.

The role requires a CDA or higher in Early Childhood Education, at least 6 months of preschool/infant/toddler experience, and a warm attitude toward children and families. Bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• CDA or Associate/Bachelor in Early Childhood Education completed or in progress.
• 6+ months of experience working with preschoolers, infants and/or toddlers.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Head Teacher to create a classroom environment where every child feels safe, seen, and supported.
• Help bring curriculum to life through individualized instruction that meets each child’s needs.
• Use positive guidance techniques that build children’s confidence and create a calm, structured environment.
• Observe and document children’s growth weekly.
• Collaborate with specialists and support staff to address children’s needs.
• Build warm, trusting relationships with families through communication and engagement events.
• Maintain a beautiful, organized classroom reflecting TEAM’s safety and innovation.
• Participate in professional development and agency events.
