Job summary

Greater Lawrence Community Action Council in Lawrence, MA is seeking an Infant Teacher to assist and implement programming, and maintain a healthy, safe learning environment that promotes positive child outcomes.

You will lead and support classroom activities, observe development, maintain attendance and records, communicate daily with staff and families, supervise Teacher Assistants and interns, and participate in cleaning and safety duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and have a CDA or AA in ECE or a related field, with three months supervised work experience with toddlers and a valid EEC Teacher Certification.
• Familiarity with CLASS is a plus.
• Flexibility with hours and ability to work evenings/weekends as needed; must be able to meet physical demands and cleanliness duties.

Responsibilities

• Implement classroom activities and supervise children in self-help skills.
• Demonstrate positive interactions and promote learning across developmental domains.
• Maintain records including attendance, meal sheets, quarterly reports and diaper changing logs.
• Communicate daily with supervisor, coworkers, and parents.
• Supervise Teacher Assistants and Interns.
• Assist in daily routine including cleaning and sanitizing.
• Ensure health and safety of children.
• Travel for home visits, meetings, training, and off-site events.
