California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks is seeking an Infant Teacher I to join the Preschool under the direction of the Director of Preschool. The role emphasizes developing a nurturing, developmentally appropriate program and maintaining a safe, engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities include planning activities, supporting individual child needs, communicating with parents, and collaborating with staff to ensure high-quality early childhood education.

Formación

• 12+ units in Early Childhood Education, including 6 infant/toddler units.
• At least 1 year of experience in the field.
• CA Driver's license or ID (Licenses section) may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate educational program.
• Assist children with gaining self-confidence and independence; encourage interaction.
• Observe and evaluate children; communicate with Director and colleagues.
• Support children during naptime, meals, diapering and related needs.
• Supervise and ensure safety on playground and in classroom.
• Participate in staff meetings and progress discussions.
• Communicate with parents, conduct conferences as requested.
• Prepare information for parents about students and school philosophy.
