Job summary

Primrose School of West McDonough is hiring an Infant Teacher to join our Balanced Learning program and provide nurturing care for our youngest learners. This role supports families and helps infants build a strong foundation for growth.

You will implement age-appropriate lesson plans, maintain a safe, engaging classroom, and collaborate with families and staff to support each child’s development. Competitive pay and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Background check including fingerprinting.
• Georgia DECAL 10-hour health and safety training completed.
• State-required pre-service orientation completed before working alone with children.
• Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid within 45 days of employment.

Position: Daycare Infant Teacher

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that are created for you
• Ensure a safe and clean learning space
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive community

• Support children's individual learning needs and encourage their social and emotional growth

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must pass a satisfactory comprehensive background check (including fingerprinting) before working with children
• Must complete Georgia's 10-hour DECAL-required health and safety training before applying
• Must complete the state-required pre-service orientation before working alone with children
• Must obtain current pediatric CPR and First Aid certification within the first 45 days of employment (we help schedule this during your two weeks of onboarding)
• Must complete ongoing annual training hours as required by the state
• Must provide documentation of good physical and mental health to safely care for children
• One of the following is preferred: a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, a Technical College Certificate in ECE, or equivalent education and experience
• Experience working with young children is strongly preferred, ideally with infants
• If Seeking Career Switchers: no prior experience required — training will be provided

Salary Range: $14.00–$18.00 per hour
