Job summary

The Learning Experience - Gainesville, VA is seeking an experienced Infant Teacher to provide nurturing, responsive care and meaningful early learning experiences for our youngest learners. You will support developmental milestones, language exposure, and family partnerships in a warm, structured classroom.

Qualifications

• Must have professional infant childcare experience or strong relevant background.
• Familiarity with infant care routines and development milestones.
• Virginia licensing requirements must be met for the position.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is preferred but not required.
• Patient, nurturing, reliable and attentive disposition required.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and responsive care for infants.
• Support feeding, diapering, sleep, tummy time and daily routines.
• Implement LEAP Curriculum in daily activities.
• Engage infants through sensory play, music, movement, and language.
• Support development across physical, cognitive, language and social-emotional domains.
• Observe and document children's milestones and progress.
• Communicate regularly with families and maintain professional relationships.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized infant classroom.
• Follow Virginia licensing and center requirements.

Infant Teacher - Early Childhood Education

The Learning Experience - Gainesville, VA

Pay: $17-$19 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience - Gainesville is seeking an experienced Infant Teacher to provide nurturing, responsive care and meaningful early learning experiences for our youngest learners.

Our Infant Teachers do much more than provide care. You'll support developmental milestones, introduce babies to language and sensory experiences, and build trusting relationships with families during one of the most important stages of childhood.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and responsive care for infants
• Support feeding, diapering, sleep, tummy time, and individual daily routines
• Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Engage infants through sensory exploration, music, movement, language, and play
• Support physical, cognitive, language, and social-emotional development
• Observe children's development and milestones
• Maintain accurate classroom and care documentation
• Communicate regularly and professionally with families
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership
• Maintain a clean, safe, nurturing, and organized Infant classroom
• Follow Virginia licensing and center requirements

Qualifications

• Previous professional childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood classroom experience required
• Professional Infant classroom experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of infant care, routines, and development
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred, but not required
