Bring your skills, your patience, and your willingness to learn.

Stepping Stones Early Learning Academy in Cedartown, GA, is looking for a dependable, caring individual to join our infant classroom.

You may have experience in healthcare, customer service, hospitality, caregiving, or another field where responsibility, communication, and attention to detail matter. Those skills can make a difference in early childhood education.

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys children, takes pride in their work, welcomes feedback, and understands the importance of a child's earliest experiences.

Previous childcare experience is welcome, but we also encourage individuals with transferable skills to apply. We provide hands-on training, classroom coaching, and clear expectations to help our team succeed.

If you enjoy working with children and want to make a positive impact during their early years, we’d love to meet you

What You'll Do
  • Provide attentive, nurturing care in a safe and engaging infant classroom.
  • Follow each infant's individual feeding, diapering, and sleep schedule.
  • Support early development through tummy time, sensory play, music, movement, and daily interactions.
  • Maintain active supervision and follow safe sleep and childcare safety practices.
  • Observe and document daily care, activities, and developmental progress using Brightwheel.
  • Communicate professionally with families and coworkers.
  • Keep classroom materials clean, sanitized, organized, and ready for use.
  • Follow Stepping Stones procedures and Georgia DECAL regulations.
  • Work cooperatively with team members and respond positively to coaching and feedback.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old and meet Georgia DECAL requirements for the position.
  • Must successfully complete required background checks and childcare training.
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance.
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally with families and coworkers.
  • Patient, attentive, and comfortable caring for infants.
  • Willing to follow established procedures, accept feedback, and continue learning.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, accountability, and attention to safety.
  • Able to lift, carry, and care for infants and participate in floor-level activities, with reasonable accommodations when applicable.
  • Comfortable using technology for daily communication and documentation, or willing to learn.
Nice To Have
  • Previous experience working with infants or young children.
  • CDA, Early Childhood Education TCC, or other relevant education or credentials.
  • Experience in caregiving, healthcare, customer service, hospitality, or other roles requiring patience, responsibility, and strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with infant developmental milestones and age-appropriate learning activities.
  • Experience using Brightwheel or similar childcare communication and documentation software.
  • Interest in continued learning and professional development in early childhood education.
  • Professional Development
  • Monday–Friday schedule — no evenings or weekends.
  • One-hour daily lunch break — a full hour away from classroom responsibilities.
  • Dedicated paid planning time — two 30-minute periods each week to prepare lessons, organize activities, and complete classroom documentation.
  • Paid holidays after 90 days of continuous employment.
  • On-the-job training and classroom coaching.
