Job summary

Child Care Resources Inc is seeking a loving Infant Room Teacher for Pre-K Preparatory Learning Academy to provide attentive care and support each baby’s development in a safe, nurturing classroom. You will interact with infants through talking, singing, reading, floor play, sensory activities, and age-appropriate learning experiences.

Job description

We are looking for a loving, dependable, and nurturing Infant Room Teacher to join our team at Pre-K Preparatory Learning Academy.

In this role, you will provide attentive, responsive care in a safe and nurturing classroom while supporting each baby’s individual development, routines, and needs. Our infant teacher should enjoy interacting with babies through talking, singing, reading, floor play, sensory experiences, and age-appropriate learning activities.

We are looking for someone who understands that infant care is more than feeding and diapering—it is about building trust, creating strong relationships, and helping babies feel safe, loved, and ready to learn.

The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, attentive, energetic, and comfortable communicating with families and working as part of a team.

What You'll Do

• Create a safe, clean, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Talk, sing, read, play, and interact with infants to encourage language, social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• Plan and participate in age-appropriate sensory, movement, music, and early learning activities
• Provide supervised floor play to support healthy physical development
• Change diapers regularly and maintain accurate feeding, diapering, and sleep records
• Keep the classroom, toys, equipment, and infant-care areas clean and sanitized
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with parents about their child’s day, development, and needs
• Observe developmental milestones and communicate concerns appropriately with center leadership
• Work cooperatively with co-teachers, floaters, and administration to maintain appropriate supervision and classroom coverage
• Follow all Pre-K Preparatory Learning Academy policies and applicable Georgia childcare licensing requirements
• Participate in required training, staff meetings, and professional development

Requirements

• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must clear full background check.
• Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
• A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Have

• CDA, TCC, Early Childhood Education degree, or other childcare credential
• Previous experience working specifically with infants in a licensed childcare setting
• Knowledge of infant developmental milestones and age-appropriate learning activities
• Experience with Frog Street or another early childhood curriculum
• Knowledge of safe sleep practices and infant health and safety procedures
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Experience communicating with families through a childcare communication app
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills
• Experience with sensory activities, music, movement, reading, and early STEAM experiences
• A creative personality and willingness to bring new ideas into the classroom
• Strong organization and documentation skills
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to help where needed
