We are seeking a warm, reliable, and flexible Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate understands early childhood development, communicates effectively with families, and works collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a supportive classroom environment. Flexibility is essential in this role, as schedules, classroom ratios, and daily needs may shift throughout the day.
Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for infants and toddlers.
Support age-appropriate developmental milestones, including language, motor, cognitive, and social-emotional skills.
Maintain daily routines such as feeding, diapering, toileting (when age-appropriate), handwashing, naps, and transitions.
Implement The Astounding Academy’s curriculum, including fine motor play, sensory activities, early literacy, and structured group experiences.
Maintain cleanliness, sanitization, and organization of classroom and materials.
Communicate professionally and positively with parents regarding daily activities, progress, and needs.
Follow all Georgia Bright from the Start rules and center policies related to supervision, safety, and documentation.
Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure consistent routines and quality care.
Adapt to schedule or classroom changes when needed to support ratios and center operations.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
CDA in Infant/Toddler or equivalent early childhood education coursework preferred.
Experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare center strongly preferred.
CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Knowledge of developmental milestones and responsive caregiving practices.
Must be dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a team environment.
Must be flexible and able to support the needs of the center as required.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
