Job summary

Biltmore Church Academy is seeking a Floater Teacher to support classrooms across the Infant through Pre-K age range, providing flexible coverage and fostering a safe, nurturing environment. You will work with Lead and Assistant Teachers to maintain smooth daily operations and consistent care.

The position requires reliable teamwork, effective communication with families, and adherence to classroom schedules, safety protocols, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Must meet NC DCDEE Lead Teacher qualifications (or be willing to obtain).
• Previous experience in licensed childcare setting preferred.
• Ability to follow classroom routines and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage across infant through Pre-K as assigned.
• Maintain appropriate supervision of children and follow all procedures.
• Engage children through age-appropriate play and activities.
• Follow established classroom schedules and routines.
• Assist with daily routines: meals, diapering/toileting, rest, transitions.
• Support a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
